Dr. Kean is a St. James alumnus and graduate of Baylor University. He earned his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, graduating with highest honors. Dr. Kean also received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Kean serves as Dental Chairman of the State Committee of Public Health for the State of Alabama. He is also on the faculty of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor. Dr. Kean and his wife, Kelly have two girls, Elizabeth and Sarah. The family are members of Frazer United Methodist Church.
