Dr. Donald Ingalls discusses his education, training, and specialty areas, and what makes their approach to compassionate care so beneficial for their patients.
Dr. Ingalls: I specialize in a full scope of Oral Maxillofacial
surgery, with a special emphasis on dental implant therapy.
I went to the University of Alabama School of Dentistry,
and my current accreditations and affiliations are,
of course, with the American Association of Oral
Maxillofacial Surgeons, actually, the International Association of Oral
Maxillofacial Surgeons, and also, the state and local levels of
those, as well as the American Dental Association, and
all their respective state and local levels.
And also have held offices as the past President of the
Alabama Society of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. I'm
also in the Academy of Osseointegration, which is,
specifically, more directed for implants, as well as the International
Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. So, just
a variety of organizations that I do for my special
interest course of surgery, and also, a specific interest in dental
Our mission statement is to provide a state-of-the-art
Oral Maxillofacial full- scope service to the area of
Central Alabama. And we tried to provide a
compassionate, caring organization that, with the total group, is able to
provide all the Oral Maxillofacial needs for the people
in Central Alabama.
It makes you feel good that you're able to provide those
services in a timely fashion. Not only do we do the
procedures here at the office, for patients, to get
them out of pain, to restore their dental health, but also, the unfortunate
victims of trauma, that would go to the local hospitals
to the do the hospital-based surgeries for them.
So it's a interesting component of both the office-based
surgery, and hospital- based surgeries that we do to
provide the care for people with Maxillofacial defects
and injuries and deformities.
